Poems for Humans
dear mortal soul,
Oh, mortal soul,
Let us pause and breathe,
Embracing the ties that bind us.
You and I, akin in spirit,
Our hearts ablaze with shared fervor.
We revel in passions intertwined,
And seethe with the fire of wrath,
That ignites the nape of our necks.
The rivers we've wept, perhaps for naught,
For in our differences lies our unity.
Oh, mortal soul,
In our divergence, we find kinship,
A dance of contrasts and parallels,
As foreign as kindred spirits can be,
In our expressions of ire,
In our musings and fears,
In our divergent paths to love,
And in the tender caress of touch and motion.
Oh, mortal soul,
Remember, amidst our disparities,
We are all vessels of beating hearts,
Resonating, feeling, and pulsing.
Oh, mortal soul,
Extend kindness unto your brethren.
